I installed the Photos Legacy app from the Microsoft Store. I then changed the default image viewer from Photos to Photos Legacy. I immediately noticed that there are no icons for any image files (such as jpg, gif, png files). In other words, if I open up windows explorer and browse to a folder that contains image files, and assuming that the folder's viewing mode is set to either "details" or "list", there should be a little icon next to each image file. The icon is supposed to be a white rectangle with blue mountains on it. But instead, all I see is a white rectangle. Note: I'm not referring
