Just received a Windows update on my laptop now the machine has no power.

Recent update fried all power supply to my laptop. Battery gone. Power cord gone. What did you do? Can access stored data on my ssd when intalled on a new machine but the old machine cannot power anything; a fan, a monitor or anything. On a surge protected power cell when you murdered my machine.
