My computer is stuck on “We couldn’t complete the updates, undoing changes, don’t turn off your computer”

Yesterday when I tried turning on my computer, it said it was updating, and it was stuck on 7% for 2 hours. I turned off the computer to go to bed, but when I woke up, I had that message. After a while the screen goes black, and the DVI port says no signal. The only way to get the screen back is to restart the computer, reshowing this message. It’s an infinite loop.
