Has anyone found a way of getting rid of the ENORMOUS volume notification bar that appears on the top left corner?

So that wonderful lifesaver HideVolumeOSD stopped working today, Oct 16, 2023. It's a sad day in the Win10 world. Did it stop working with other OS's? I did notice that if you use the Volume Mixer directly that huge icon doesn't appear. But it's far more convenient using the keyboard volume on my Microsoft Natural ergonomic keyboard (one of the few things they did right - a fabulous keyboard that was reasonably priced). Probably some stupid update. I should have disabled Windows Update months ago. Plus there would have been no more stupid interruptions because of it's idiotic updating s
