Windows 10 - How to stop an app from snapping to the center of my monitor

Background: I have Windows 10 with a laptop screen and a monitor. The power went out and my issue started happening after the power came back on and the monitor came back online. Issue: When I open Adobe Acrobat, it opens on the monitor in its last known location and size but then snaps to the center of my monitor and increases the width of the app. If I move Acrobat over to where it should be and open another pdf, it snaps to the center of my monitor and increases the width of the app. Then if I open 3 pdfs, on the third it moves Acrobat over to the center of my laptop screen.
