Why is my Refresh rate getting capped in 1080p?

When I play Fortnite in 1920x1080 my refresh rate gets capped at 165 hz but when i swith the game resolution to 2560x1440p or even anything lower than 1920x1080 the refresh rate goes to what i have it set at through windows which is 240
