Why does my laptop screen flicker and the turn completely off when I try to turn it on?

It’s kinda hard to describe but ever since my ps5 controller accidentally fell on he keyboard of my laptop whenever I try to turn on my laptop the screen will sometimes flicker from black to white and back to black and then the entire laptop shuts off, I’ve already tried to hard restart it(?) I’ve also tried to let it charge overnight so that by then it’s fully charged and it continues to do the same thing.
