I get the impression that the xfinity modems don't allow Windows Remote Desktop to function - because the xfinity modem is incapable of forwarding ports. A few people have told me it's a bad idea to open ports. And, I believe one person said that Microsoft doesn't recommend opening ports to use Windows Remote Desktop. Okay. So, why does Microsoft even have or offer Windows Remote Desktop if it's THAT insecure that Microsoft recommends not using their own product. Is there a simple alternative to Windows Remote Desktop that doesn't require a PhD in IT just to make it work? Is it possible
