How to verify the call from an operator

dear all, I have received a call from a person claiming to be a Microsoft Windows operator. He said my computer was hacked and I should be in front of my pc and they will tell me what to do_Obviously they claim the jacker has access to all my data.The whole thing sounds weird but they called already 3 times.How can I verify this call?The number is weird has it has an Italian prefix.+392398223986Thanks
