I shared a directory in local network, but creating a shortcut to this location on second PC - file cannot be found

Hello,in the local network I have a "server laptop" to which I have plugged in external hard disk. On this disk I have a folder that I want to have access from any other computer in the local network. I clicked in the properties to share the file, it has a path, i.e.: \\server\sharedDirThe policy is that only user that have a local account on "server" can have access to it.When I am trying to create a shortcut on the other PC (path: \\server\shareDir), the tool display error, that the file cannot be found.
