Black screen

This morning my laptop was working fine, I haven’t installed anything new or done any recent updates but all of a sudden the screen went black. I can still see what’s going on using a separate monitor, but my actual laptop screen is completely black like it’s been turned off. It still powers on (I attempted to restart it) and the Manufacturer’s logo appears upon start up but then the screen goes back to being blank/black. Is there any sort of fix for this? Thank you.
