Data Recovery from my previous Windows

I have installed windows 10 on my PC. There were some important files/folders lying on the desktop. I was facing some troubleshooting problem and i re-installed the windows 10 64bit on my PC. All the files lying on desktop have been wiped away. Now i want to recover those files/ folder back. How i can do it now?
