Alt key stuck in windows?

I had this instance right now where suddenly mid gaming session, my alt key was seemingly stuck. If I pressed W, tabs open on my browser, if I press esc, the windows changes. These are both alt shortcuts according to what I found, but alt isn't pressed. I tried another keyboard and the same thing was occurring, so it wasn't the keyboard. Sticky keys, filter keys, etc is off. No macro programs are open. Nothing on the internet helped and I had to restart my PC. Is there something I can press to disable this behavior?
