How do I change my profile picture into a custom made one on my pc

When I last tried this it was supposed to be done on the Xbox Console Companion app but since then its showing me the app has been shut down and its no longer in use and has been replaced by Xbox App entirely, Ive always found Xbox App quite inconvenient and very complicated for PC other than its mobile version, I have went to customise my profile picture but it always shows me pre-xbox made pictures is there anyway of customising my profile picture to my own photo?
