Compact view doesn't work after Windows 11 05.2024 update

After the May 2024 Windows 11 update, my Explorer view went from compact to expanded. "Compact view" is checked in the >View options and in the property box. The computer is not in tablet mode. I have restarted Explorer several times and "Compact View" is checked after the restart but the Expanded View remains. I have not yet messed with the registry nor done a system restore. If those are the only options, I'll live with Expanded View. If anyone has any other ideas--please pass them on.ThanksRussell
