Windows Photo app not opening up

Windows Photo app not opening up any of the file extension such as jpg, jpeg, png but using Paint works.it just happened suddenly out of nowhere. A check on the Default apps for a few of our computers shows default has been changed to Microsoft WinRT Storage API.A check on a few of the past post didn't work, Repair/reset of photo app, running DISM command, Remove and reload photo app, running powershell script Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}didn't work either.I am lost for solution now and the only workaroun
