This is a revisitation of the issue discussed at this link. Please see the last entry in that thread. Basically....it's baaaaaack! Cannot launch Adobe Acrobat. It doesn't open if I...double-click a pdf iconright click the icon and choose "Open" from the context menudouble-click the program iconAsk it nicelySacrifice a goat to the Great God Adobeus...or anything else. I have done a complete uninstall/reinstall. So...my next move is to contact Adobe, but I am certain they're going to tell me there's something amiss in my System.
