Unable to connect to Internet using Ethernet port

I am having a problem connecting to the Internet. For this computer, it is supplied by the school, and whenever the Ethernet port is not connected, it does not show any available networks. Here is my screen capture:Also, when I connect to the Internet using an Ethernet port, it shows Identifying... No internet.Or, I get Unidentifed network, No internet.How do I make this computer have Internet again using an Ethernet port?
