I want to play a game but i got to download it, but I can't because I need to turn off my S mode

Is S mode really needed for my window 10 because I want to play some games, but I need to change the "App recommendation settings" but I can't because someone told me I have to turn off S mode, but I heard that S mode is better to have and is safer but also if you turn it off you can't turn it back on.
