why cant i sign into my Microsoft account

It keeps saying i will need internet for this when i try to login to Xbox or anything Microsoft related but i can assure you i have internet. I keep getting error code 0x800704cf. Yes i have already troubleshooted my internet, reset my network settings, checked all my internet drivers, and even perform the repair upgrade using the Media Creation Tool nothing has worked. This only started happening once i switched to a better wifi.
