After having a lot of syncing errors, I realized a lot of the syncing was being done by Onedrive (aka 1drv). Since I don't need my files to be stored in the cloud, I decided to uninstall 1drv. I had thought that my files in 1drv were just copies and the originals were on my PC. But when I deleted a Word file in the 1drv folder in Win Explorer, I noticed that it disappeared from my PC. It was then that I realized I had to move those 1drv files to my PC before I deleted them from the 1drv folder. The simplest way to do that seemed to be to cut and paste them into my computer where they were
