What happens when you do a FULL SCAN in MSERT(Microsoft Safety Scanner) you get infected files and in the end everything is fine.

I started a 'FULL SCAN' in MSERT(Microsoft Safety Scanner) and in between I saw 4 files infected and the scan was in middle only. I left it and came back after 4-5 hours and saw 'SCAN WAS COMPLETE SUCCESSFULLY AND NO VIRSUSES, SPYWARE, AND OTHER POTENTIALLY UNWANTED SOFTWARE WERE DETECTED.' so I wanted to know what exactly happened to the infected files? What decision was taken for them? This happens every time the time.
