Unable to download a game because of error code

I am trying to download a game, but in the middle of the downloading it says "error the VC++ runtime redistributable package was not installed successfully". Along with this error it prompts me with an option to re download the VC++ but when i try to re download it, it says i already have a later version of it. Im not sure what to do.
