Voice access keeps freezing after i say a sentence.

I am trying to use voice access on my laptop, but when I say a sentence, it displays "working on it" and then never transcribes the sentence. I have to mute and then unmute the mic and try again. Sometimes this works, other times it just repeats the same issue. This is a recent problem as it never used to be an issue. Every now and then, when I unmute the mic, it just says "initialising voice access" but then does nothing. So, I have to close the entire program and reopen it.
