DATA D: drive has a question mark

[help my data d drive please]

ok so just like the title says my data d drive has a blue question mark next to it and it won't open. whenever i right click it, i cant check properties or anything and im really scared to lose this drive because i have almost everything on iti've tried chkdsk d: /r /scan on command prompt, but it just tells me i can't open volume for direct access. same thing with chkdsk d: /scanhelp would be appreciated(i have the exact same problem as the person in thread Redirecting
