Cant log on

Cant log on to computer. Have a Acer laptop. This has occured a few times. I have done a network reset and sometimes it works but now with no joy. There is no wifi slide on/off option. Tried multiple different networks and keeps happening. Wifi under network adapters has an ! In orange
