Microphone headphones don't work with microsoft surface laptop studio 2

Hello,I bought genius HS 200C headset. I also have an additional hub that features another 3.5mm jack port to the one that's already on the laptop. I've plugged the audio jack to one port and microphone jack to the other port.The Audio seems to be working fine, but I can't connect the microphone to the computer. Even in devices it shows the headphones in output section but doesn't show them in microphone as an option. Any tips?
