An update gone awry

since an update last week--KB5039211 (OS Builds 19044.4529 and 19045.4529)--my document files disappeared from my PC. I can't copy files from OneDrive to my PC. I get error code 0x8007017C. The fix for this is to disable on-demand file access in Work Files. But Work Files is not installed on my computer.
