the XBox app keeps getting pinned to my taskbar. I do not use the app and cannot uninstall it. How do I prevent it from pinning itself?

I unpin it every time but when i restart my computer, lo and behold, there is that wretched X. I don't even want this dumb app, I wish I could just uninstall it, but I will settle for it not pinning itself without permission.Locking the task bar did not work.
