Virus & Threat Protection Service stopped working on my computer.

Starting yesterday, I started getting pop-ups saying the threat service on my computer has stopped working and I should restart to fix it. When I go to restart through the Virus & Threat Protection, it says it experienced an unexpected problem. After searching through Windows Defender files I noticed the exe for Antimalware Service Executable is missing and I am guessing that is what is causing this. I do not know how to get this file back. Any help is appreciated.
