Help with switchable graphics solutions

On windows 10, When carrying out the switchable dynamic graphic 'Fix' to repair a load library 114 DLL error repair. I then create an issue with my start menu not functioning and Edge (and steam window) just appearing as a blank screen, whichever option I try I cannot open Steam. I have done complete system restores now 3 times with no improvement and lost a load of information!I am a total novice!
