Notepad file appears blank after shutdown even though it had content before that and it was SAVED under a file

I'm having a problem with one of my notepad files I just made before I shut down my computer. It is SAVED, so WHY is it blank with NOTHING after shutdown? It's supposed to have SOMETHING. I checked the properties and previous versions, and there were NOTHING. Does my computer check whether they like the content and they decide they didn't like it, so they blanked the whole file after I rebooted my computer? I am using Windows 10. I want to know the reason why the file became blank when it's supposed to have my previous content because it's saved. I wanted my previous content, but instead I got
