I have a Root CA and a SubCA, the certificate on SubCA expired months ago. I wanted to request a new SubCA certificate and noticed that the SubCA template was not available on that CA. I was getting a message indicating that was "Unavailable" so I when to the templates and added "domain computers" at that point It changed to Available.I generated the new request certificate and went to the Root CA and selected the option "Submit your request" . The new certificate was generated. then I went to the PKI console, removed the old one and imported the new one but still was the PKI with the red flag
