Can you have two different installs of Windows on two different drives but on the same computer with the same key?

I am doing some tests and switching between a drive that has my main install and a drive with a temp install, but on the exact same PC, I am literally just shutting the system down and swapping the SATA cables. Can I switch between these drives and activate both installs with the same key or will this cause problems?
