I was removed from my own family group. Who gave permission for this unauthorized change?

I received an email today that I was removed from the family group I created. How is this even possible? I want to be added back as my sons account is in this group. I am divorced and have no issue with my ex-husband and his kids being removed, but I don’t understand how I was removed without communication from a group I created?????
