I just returned from a trip and maybe I did something before, but when I try to use the regular settings on the function keys such as volume and brightness, different things happen instead. After some googling, I eventually figured out I had alternate function keys turned on, and the main solution was to hold the Fn button and Escape together. I did this several times and even did multiple combinations of what other commenters said worked for them, such as Fn + left shift, and Fn+ tab, but nothing worked so far. These new settings are really confusing and take a while for me each time to figur
