Restore account saying my password is wrong.

I’m trying to restore a previous image of my desktop from a hard drive using the system restore function. But when I enter the tool it’s asking for the password of the account which I had changed after the backup was created. I no longer know this old password and the current password is returning with “the password is incorrect”. Is there any other way to load that backup without the need for the locally stored password.
