A few months ago my pc started doing a thing where if I removed the headphones or accidently pulled them from the audio jack, they would not work again when I would plug it back in. My headphones only work if I plug them into the audio jack and restart or shutdown my pc and turn it on again. It troubles me as before all this, when I would plug my headphones in, a small box would pop up in the bottom right hand corner asking if I plugged in a headset or headphones, I would pick headset (because that's what I actually use as headphones) and they would immediately start to work.
