Adobe chooses wrong Outlook default email

Because Microsoft has so many different iterations of Outlook, I can't get my Adobe pdf app to recognise New Outlook as my default email app. Instead it chooses my NON default Outlook 2013. But, my Outlook 2013 can't accept my @rogers.com email account because neither Yahoo nor Rogers will provide a third party app password, making Outlook 2013 useless for my preferred email. I encounter the same problem when I try to email a Word docx, as the wrong Outlook is brought up.THANK YOU in advance for your suggestions
