Computer audio cuts off when I join meetings

Whenever I join a meeting of any sort (can be Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, etc) my computer cuts off all audio, I can't hear anything in the meeting and I can't hear anything playing on my computer outside of the meeting. Even when I completely close the app I had the meeting in, computer audio takes a minute to resume playing.
