What does "Availability Status: Error" on my photos and videos in files mean?

Hi I've recently transferred some photo and video files from my action camera onto my pc, which went really well. but now once i tried to sync i to my Onedrive i've run out of space which has lead to every file showing an availability status as Error. I am unsure what this truly means and just would like confirmation that i will still be able to access my photos and videos in the future or does this error mean that they wont save? Thanks
