I purchased a new laptop and attempted to uninstall Windows 11 with the intention of then installing Windows 10. When the uninstall was complete the computer began reinstalling Windows 11 which I didn't want and which I didn't know would happen. I managed to stop the re-installation by repeatedly hitting a Function key. Now however I’m getting an Install Windows pop-up message that reads, “The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows installation cannot proceed.
