Ripping CD to Flash drive

Want to add another music CD to a flash drive. Have music files on Windows MS Media player. I went to the RIP setting and clicked CHANGE and I picked USB. I clicked OK to save settings. I clicked RIP CD. The process went through each song and when finished with each song changed the status to "RIPPED TO LIBRARY". but the music never got to the flash drive. (I successfully ripped an album to the flash drive a couple of days ago but didn't remember the steps I used, so I tried this process. What am I doing wrong?
