I assume this must have occurred as a result of a recent system update. But the last time I returned to my PC, woke it, and unlocked it (I had recently left it idle, and it locks when it goes to sleep), all of the windows for various applications were maximized to full screen. Furthermore, it seems various applications have lost the user settings I had saved for them, and were returned to default settings/views, when no updates to any of those applications have taken place.Furthermore, I used to actually be able to put my PC to sleep or shut it down through the Start > Power menu.
