Selecting a tab closes the Settings app

When i click on the audio icon at the bottom nothing happen but after like 5 times it say windows shell experience is updating it will be done shortly but has not updated and its been 2 days and also when i click apps on the settings app it closes the settings app and same for the windows update tab it closes the settings app too. so basically i cant check for updates. and also it does not let me go inside the account tab it just closes the settings app too.*** Original Title - can someone help me?
