My computer wont recognise disks

The disks i put in are all new and have no damage, scratches, etc, so the disks arent the problem. When i put them in they are spinning and everything but the computer wont recognise them and let me do anything with them. I tried uninstalling the DVD/CD drive in Device Manager but when i right click it the uninstall option isnt there. Any help?
