old desktop internet not working cant connect to 5g

I have a old dell desktop with windows 10 that is having network issues. I can not access my 5g internet, but can access the 2.4g. However, the 2.4g just does not have internet, i cannot load a single thing, right beside my computer is my girlfriends macbook, my xbox one s, and both of our phones, and all of those devices connect to the internet and have no issues, with speeds going up to 100mbps, do i need new drivers, is my computer to old, is the router not strong enough,please help.
