Microphone not appearing as an option?

I've purchased the HeyDay microphone from Target and I no longer can get it to connect. It connects to the PC tower using a USB-C to an HDMI and this has worked in the past. Now when I plug it in, though, it no longer shows up even as an option. I've attempted to put it into both USB2.0 and USB3.0 with no luck. The cord is fine and working and so are my ports in the computer. My microphone settings are turned on in settings fyi.
