Reset my laptop and created a local account. After some time I logged into this microsoft account itself and tried to setup a PIN, that did not work so I tried setting up a fingerprint but it still does not work. When I put the computer to sleep I must sign in with my microsoft account and password, the create a PIN window shows, I do not remember creating any PIN, neither does any that I previously used work. Cannot reset it through going into sign in options If I skip I will always have to go through the password and 2-step verification which is bit of a hassle when my phone is not with me.
