How can I install Win. 10 on a device with 32GB storage?

I want to try a Linux Distro on the hard drive for a proper comparison on my low spec. device but it seems any one comparable to W10 needs about 20GB to install, so deletion of Win. 10 is a prerequisite; according to "Google Gemini" if I want to go back to Windows then I can use the Media creation tool to create an installer on a Mac (only option) but it reckoned that 32GB is req'd to install it (actual available space after factory reset is about 30GB). So is my aspiration impossible?
